Cooking tutorials sprinkled with Italian magic: meet The Pasta Queen

The Pasta Queen for Ruffoni cookware collection – StellaAn Italian staple: pasta al pomodoro prepared and served in The Pasta Queen limited edition Serving Frying Pan Stella

Coming from a real pasta dynasty (her family started a pasta factory in Southern Italy in the 1800s), Nadia Caterina Munno is better known on social media as the one and only Pasta Queen. And the title couldn't be more appropriate – her funny, instructive cooking tutorials have earned Nadia a loyal following of over 3 million subscribers across all channels!

If a friend suddenly engages in a spectacular hair flip listing the ingreedientss of the dish they just made, you’ll know you are in the presence of one of Nadia’s followers. The Pasta Queen is in fact known for her catchphrases (ingreedientss, just gorgeous, just like you are… to name a few!) and dramatic interpretation as much as for her easy-to-make yet impressive Italian recipes.

Sharing the same belief that we all can live a longer, happier life making fresh foods from scratch — and turning them into unforgettable moments — we immediately clicked. And from this lucky encounter the project for The Pasta Queen limited edition was born.

While designing The Pasta Queen limited edition, we chatted about how growing up in Italy has influenced what we love and do, about The Pasta Queen community and her future projects.

Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy. I come from a family of pasta makers all the way back to the 1800s when they started a pasta factory. You can say that I was born into a pasta dynasty!

What are you passionate about?
* Food
* Family
* Fashion
* Meeting people
* Creating magical moments
* Bringing large crowds of family and friends together where food, laughter, and good times are at the center of it all!

Something people don’t usually know about you:
I was a child actress and model in Italy. I worked for L'Oreal cosmetics and in magazines, and I was in commercials and a movie. Ever since I was really young, I’ve wanted to be an entertainer and storyteller. I took theatre classes and excelled at improv. After writing little comedy skits, I would recite them for people, making them really funny and doing impressions to make people laugh.

One of my favorite things in life is entertaining people and making them laugh, and I think that shows in my cooking videos.
I like to be a little bit silly and dramatic.

Favourite Food:
Pasta is my absolute favorite food.
If I could only eat one food group, it would be pasta. More specifically, I love lasagne or a very rich pasta alla puttanesca.

How/when did we first meet?
I have been collecting Ruffoni pots for the past five years. When I got on Instagram as The Pasta Queen, I searched for and found the Ruffoni page, and it was obvious I had to follow it because I was already a huge fan of them. Almost immediately, Giulia and I became friends. We got on the phone, and we clicked right away. It was very clear from the first conversation that we had to do a Pasta Queen/Ruffoni collaboration.

Favourite Ruffoni piece or collection:
I love The Pasta Queen by Ruffoni collection a lot because I think it's super functional. The individual pieces are really incredible and multifunctional. This set was purposefully put together to be able to handle any type of cooking in your kitchen. Most of all, I love that you can make any type of pasta sauce and pasta with them.

I also absolutely love the Historia collection. The copper, tin-lined pots and pans are very similar to what my Nonna Caterina used to cook with. The shape and materials are what people used to use a lot more back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. But even today, tin is super easy to use, and I love the look of the pieces in this collection. They remind me of home.

Where can people find you:
You can find me everywhere as The Pasta Queen, including on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

My platforms are like an online trattoria. Anyone can stop by, and they can feel the love, feel at home, and find some delicious recipes.
